It looks like we have another 30 Days In Atlanta/Osuofia In London type of movie on the way.
Nollywood A-lister, Mike Ezuronye, took to his Instagram to share pictures from what looks like a Nollywood movie shoot in the U.S. He also states that this is the second time he’ll be in such a movie.
Very little is known at this time about the project (it looks like they are keeping things pretty close to their chests), but the actor shared a short clip where he is seen speaking Gibberish-Chinese after having an altercation with an American-Chinese, and from the look of things, (to a large extent) it will be business as usual.
Ever since the success of Osuofia in London, quite a few Nollywood movies have towed the line. The most recent is AY’s 30 Days In Atlanta which was released last year and became a huge hit. I personally feel the story of an uneducated man somehow travelling to the U.S or wherever has been over flogged and should be laid to rest for more unique stories, but that’s just me. However, the major purpose of the film is to make the viewers laugh, and as long as filmmakers can continue doing this, we’re not likely to see the end of them anytime soon.
I must confess, the clip is quite funny though.
