Diesel revealed that the movie is set for an April 14, 2017 release date.
Fast 8 would be the first in the series to be completely shot and released after the death of Paul Walker, and Diesel paid tribute to his late friend from the CinemaCon stage.
He said, “I swear to you and to my brother upstairs [Walker], we are going to make the best movie you’ve ever seen”.
The question as to whether the franchise should be put to rest is no longer valid, seeing how much Furious 7 made at the Box office following its release at the beginning of this month.
The movie made a whooping $1 billion merely 17 days after it’s release, and is now on the list of top 10 highest grossing movies ever.
