Universal Shifts Date For Pacific Rim 2 Release


Pacific Rim 2 movie posterUniversal studios have announced a new date for the release of the giant robots vs kaiju movie, Pacific Rim 2.

The movie was originally slated for an April 2017 release, however, with the impending release of Fast and Furious 8 in the same month, Universal decided to shift Pacific Rim 2 by four months, for an August 4, 2017 release.

Universal also announced the release date for some of their other upcoming movies.

Tom Cruise’s latest effort, Mena, directed by Doug Liman, is set for January 6, 2017. The latest take on The Mummy is now to be released on March 24, 2017 instead of its previously announced June 24, 2016 release date.

Also, a Universal monster franchise movie, currently untitled, will move from its April 21, 2017 date to March 30, 2018, and finally, World of Warcraft adaptation Warcraft, directed by Duncan Jones, has been moved from March 11, 2016 to June 16, 2016.
