Earlier in the day, we reported that Power’s season 2 premiere had set the record for the highest rating for a Starz original series, so it did not come as a surprise when Starz announced today that the series had been renewed for a third season.
According to the show’s creator, Courtney Kemp Agboh, “I am thrilled to learn that season three of ‘Power’ has been officially ordered by Starz. It is an honor to work with Chris Albrecht, Carmi Zlotnik, Ken Segna and the whole Starz team. Their support has been steadfast from the beginning, and I look forward to a bright future together.”
Production on the third season will begin sometime in September 2015 at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, and like the second season, a 10-episode run has been ordered. Power airs in more than 175 countries/territories worldwide and Starz retains all global distribution and home entertainment rights to the series.
By the way, if you don’t already watch the show, you totally should.
