You know how TV series have been known to kill a character then turn around and give us some bulls#!& story of how he/she didn’t actually die, but survived through some miraculous twist of events? Well, that is not going to happen with Game of Thrones and Jon Snow. It seems our favourite character is dead for good.
This sad piece of news was revealed by Kit Harington during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, where the actor revealed he talked with the show runners and they confirmed Jon Snow is dead for good.
“I had a sit-down with Dan [Weiss] and David [Beinhoff], we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they’re being whacked]. And they said, ‘Look, you’re gone, it’s done,” he said.
Harington added that he saw the move coming, even though he had not read A Dance With Dragons, but what he didn’t expect was that it was going to be the final shot of the season. He also said he loved that it was Olly that killed him, saying it felt like the right way to happen.
Now, one of GoT’s greatest selling points is the fact that the show runners can kill anybody off, and the show will carry on seamlessly, but it seems like they’ve outdone themselves this time. Why the he!!will you kill off Jon Snow? Why?! It’s possible I just might not be watching the show next season. I mean who will they kill next? Daenerys? Tyrion? I can’t stand it anymore abeg.
It will be interesting to see how the show carries on in season 6 though.
