So there’s a rumour that’s been going around these past few days and I thought I should share with you all. So apparently, Terraculture boss, Bolanle Austen-Peters; Steve Gukas and Dotun Olakunrin have concluded plans to bring to the big screen, the story of late Dr. Stella Adadevoh and the Ebola cases that hit Nigeria last year.
The yet untitled movie will be based on the late Dr. Adadevoh and the other Nigerians that gave their life in making sure the deadly Ebola virus did not spread as much as it could have when patient zero (Patrick Sawyer) arrived the country in August 2014.
The movie is said to have hitched American actor, Danny Glover and Nollywood sweetheart, Bimbo Akintola, who will play the role of Dr. Adadevoh, the heroine of the story. Very little else is known at this point, as the project is said to be in the very early stages, but we can only assume that Steve Gukas will be directing.
I must however reiterate that for now, it’s just a rumour and Sodas & Popcorn has not independently confirmed. That said, we’ll keep our ears to the ground for when more details drop.
