It’s a bold claim to make, (seeing as we’re just halfway into the year), but it seems Yvonne Nelson is having none of that, as she has declared her new film, If Tomorrow Never Comes, the movie of the year. In truth, I’m not surprised she would make such a claim (it’s her movie after all), I’m just really hoping the joke does not write itself when the movie hits theaters, which I believe should be very soon.
Held at the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall and the West Hills Mall, Ghana, If Tomorrow Never Comes premiered on Friday, 6 June 2015 and was attended by some of Nollywood and Ghollywood’s finest. Some of those present at the event include, Yvonne Nelson herself, Deyemi Okanlawon, Becca, Kweku Elliot, Pascal Amanfo, Ayittey Powers and the list goes on.
If Tomorrow Never Comes tells the story of a young girl, Ewurabana, who is sold into slavery after her mother’s death. The ensuing adventure takes her to the place of her destiny.
Produced by Yvonne Nelson and directed by Pascal Amanfo, the film stars Yvonne Nelson, Deyemi Okalawon, Becca, Ghanaian boxer, Ayittey Powers, Bismark Nii Odoi among others.
