Kunle Afolayan‘s upcoming movie “October 1st” is generating quite a buzz and some of the behind-the-scene stills has been released on the official Facebook page for the movie. These images will blow your mind as you will see how they recreate events that happened decades ago. As earlier reported, Deola Sagoe will play the role of the late women’s rights activist Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti and TV veteran Sadiq Daba will play the role of ‘Inspector Wazriri’. Others include longtime Yoruba actor Kayode ‘Aderupoko’ Olaiya and Kunle Afolayan himself. Here’s a short synopsis of what the movie is about;
Nigerian Police Detective, DAN WAZIRI, is sent to the trading town of Akote, by the British, to solve a series of female murders. He must solve the mystery of these deadly attacks before the British flag is lowered and the Nigerian flag raised on Independence Day… October 1st.
We are hoping the movie will be ready just in time for the Independence Day celebration. But in the meantime, check out the set photos.
