A few days after the one year anniversary of the death of Award-winning filmmaker, Amaka Igwe, Nollywood has lost yet another veteran in actor, Peter Bruno, who was reported to have died in the early hours of Friday, May 1, 2015.
At this time, the cause of his death is yet to be determined, but the late actor survived a stroke attack several months ago. Whether the death is as a result of complications from the attack is yet to be determined.
It can be recalled that Peter Bruno, a couple of years ago, cried out that he had been abandoned by his colleagues.
Some of his famous works include: Checkmate, Living in Bondage, Cock Crow at Dawn and Second Chance.
Nollywood stars including, Stephanie Linus, Chika Ike among others have started paying their respects to the late actor. Mrs. Linus took to her blog to express sadness at the death of Peter Bruno, who she called friend.
“I woke up this morning to the sad news that my friend, the veteran actor Peter Bunor has passed on…This breaks my heart so much. I remember fondly the early days of my career and how much of a strong support he was. It was always a delight to work with him. I learnt so much from him and always felt at ease in his presence. Peter was never one to make anyone feel intimidated or uneasy; he was friendly, supportive and extremely talented.”
“Nollywood has lost a veteran” she said.
