New Documentary Will Follow Usain Bolt On His Journey Through The 2016 Olympics


Usain BoltUsain Bolt and his participation in the 2016 Olympics, as well as his subsequent retirement in 2017, will be the focus of a feature-length documentary to be produced by british filmmaker, Fulwell 73.

The film will follow the six time Olympic Gold medalist as he journey’s to the 2016 Olympic games in Rio, and his participation in the 100 and 200 meter events.

“I’m excited to start work on this project. When I met Gabe and Ben and heard about their previous work, I felt they would be the right people to tell my story and capture my journey to Rio 2016. It’s going to be a lot of fun”, Bolt said.

Apart from his participation in the 2016 Olympics, the film will also take a look at some of the past achievements of the Jamaican athlete.

This will not be the first documentary that has focused on Usain Bolt ‘s participation in an Olympic game. In 2012, there was a a 2-part, 2-hour long documentary  titled, “Usain Bolt: The Movie”, which followed the athlete as he prepared for the London Olympics that year, where he defended his crown.

  2. I agree about Eku Edewor, she showed promise on Sanchez’s webseries. But I always suspected she wouldn’t hold water on the big screen. I didn’t have high hopes for this movie but your review might have changed my mind.

  3. Hmmm…I read abt this movie, ‘Flower Girl’ in Genevive Magazine’s Wedding Edition (Dec 2012) and thought ‘interesting’ esp with Dami & Eku being part of d cast. Well sounds like a nice movie…but something I’ll rather watch on my lappy *smiles* Good review, Kiki.
