Jared Leto as Joker in Suicide SquadDC comics seems to be turning up the heat on its upcoming projects.

Suicide Squad especially has been in the news a lot recently. Not too long ago, the first look at the cast in their costumes was released. Not long after, a video of Will Smith practicing in a gun-range for his role in the movie emerged online.

Today, we have behind-the-scenes video on set of the film. The clip provides a close-up shot of a scene involving the Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie).

The scene begins with Dr. Quinzel standing in front of a luxury sports car. She screams, “Get out of the car!” The driver’s side door then opens and The Joker (Leto) emerges. He walks up to herand begins to talk to her in an animated fashion. She tries to embrace him but he appears to reject her. Their little romance in the middle of the road is causing traffic. A trucker, who is annoyed by this, walks over to them with a tire iron. Joker turns to acknowledge him, a few words are spoken, and then Quinzel reaches… for a gun and shoots the truck driver.

The trucker’s death doesn’t faze the couple and they continue to argue. This is when The Joker slaps Quinzel to the ground and walks around his car. They have another quick exchange and then Joker slinks back into his vehicle. By the way, his license plate is “HAHAHA.”

One thing I took away from this clip is that Jared Leto seems to fit into the Joker role quite well. Last week, we brought news that sources claim Leto’s Joker will surpass Heath Ledger’s, and while it might be too early to agree or disagree, Leto does seem to settle into the role very well.

Suicide Squad stars Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
