Someone somewhere is doing something right with Game of Thrones.
Despite its first four episodes finding their way to the internet on the eve of the season 5 premiere, the season 5 premiere of Game of Thrones has broken the show’s viewership record with an estimated 8 million viewers.
The shows highest figure was formerly held by the seventh episode of the fourth season (titled, Mockingbird), however, with the new figures provided by American global information and measurement company, Nielsen, season 5 episode 1 now holds the record.
Game of Thrones already holds the record for the world’s most pirated show, and it seems the saturday leaks did very to slow down the series.
