Empire Lands Chris Rock, Alicia Keys For second Season

Empire posterAlthough the show already has an impressive audience, FOX, is leaving no stone unturned to make sure the second season of Empire is even bigger than the first one.

A few days ago, it was announced that the second coming of Empire was going to be 18 episodes long, as against the previous 12 episodes. News coming out today is that actor-comedian Chris Rock, pop star Alicia Keys and singer and Hunger Games actor Lenny Kravitz, have all joined the cast for the season 2 of the show.

It is not clear yet how these three will be mixed into the story, but the show landed other superstars in its first season, so I’m sure something good is cooking. Rumor however has it that these three are not the only guest stars planned. Oprah Winfrey and rapper, Common, are also said to make possible appearances.

Empire already has an impressive audience. During its first season, the show averaged 17.3 million viewers per episode, making it one of FOX’s highest rated shows ever.

The second season of Empire will start airing in the fall of 2015.
