Batman’s Role In David Ayer’s Suicide Squad Has Been Revealed

Although the director came out a few days ago to say the film’s surprises were still very much intact, with the rate at which information on the project has been finding its way to the public, it won’t come as a shock if those said surprises have also been leaked before the film hits theaters in August 2016.

Way before production on the film started, a lot of speculation had centered on exactly how Batman would fit into the Suicide Squad plot, if at all he would be included. With the video that leaked last week showing the Dark knight in a car chase with the Joker, we are now sure of his appearance. What we still didn’t know was how he would fit into the film’s plot.

Well, thanks to another leak, we now know this too. According to Heroic Hollywood, Batman will share a scene with Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) early on in the movie. In classic Batman fashion, he appears in the shadows inside Waller’s maximum security prison to warn her that he disapproves of the idea behind the Suicide Squad – and that he will hold her accountable for any collateral damage the team inflicts on civilians.

We don’t ordinarily take rumours seriously, but the guy behind Heroic Hollywood has been correct so many times on previous reports that it would make no sense to discard the information. If it does turn out to be true, then someone needs to do some serious plumbing work to stop the leaks. Then again, it could just be a part of the marketing strategy for the film. The constant leaks have kept the movie in the news a lot, and have been giving fans something to chew on.

Whatever the case, we can only hope the movie lives up to expectations when it hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
