Batman vs Superman, Suicide Squad And The Other Top Seven Trailers From Comic-Con

Batman in Dawn of JusticeLast week was a slow one when it came to movie news and this was due mainly to the San Diego comic-con which ran all week long. While it might mean very little (or nothing) to us in this part of the world, it’s like Christmas in July for the comic book fanatics and movie lovers generally in the U.S.

Attendees of the yearly event get the first look at some of the biggest projects Hollywood is working on including a bunch trailers. Chances are that if the comic-con crowd loves your work, the rest of the movie population (or at least fans of fast paced blockbusters) will do too.

As usual, these past few days saw the debut of trailers for some of Hollywood’s most anticipated works in the next 12 months or so. Quite a number of them were released, but the rest of this post will take a look at the top 9 trailers that debuted at comic-con last week.

Oh, by the way, the Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Star Wars: The Force Awakens were by far the most exciting. I especially loved the one for Dawn of Justice. Now, I can’t wait for the movie to hit cinemas on March 25 next year.

Watch all nine trailers below, and share your thoughts on them in the comment section.

Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

Now, the first trailer was good, but this is way better. We get to see Batman take on Superman, as well as our first look at Wonder woman. By the way, what’s that hair style on Lex Luthor?

    Suicide Squad

This clip was not supposed to be available for public viewing for a while, but thanks to the efforts of certain people in Hall H who leaked a bootlegged version, David Ayer has released a high quality version of the trailer online. It’s amazing that such an intriguing trailer could be put together, even though the film is not expected to wrap shooting till September.

Also, Jared Leto looks super dope as The Joker.

    Heroes Reborn

When the series first premiered back in 2006, it was a major hit. However as time went on, it began to fade into oblivion. When news broke of plans to reboot the show, it was met with mixed reactions. With the premiere of this new trailer, i’m sure quite a number of people (that includes me) are now excited for the show’s return.

    The Walking Dead Season 6

If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, very little needs to be said (or done) for you to see the sixth season of the show. If however you’re not one, this trailer should be more than enough reason to get you interested in the show.

    Fear the Walking Dead

When news broke of a Walking Dead spin-off, I wasn’t very optimistic about the chances of it being good. However, events of the past few weeks (which climaxed with the release of this trailer) have got me thinking otherwise.

    The Man From Uncle

I first took interest in this film after seeing the first trailer, but after seeing this one, I’m definitely looking forward to its release. Don’t get me wrong, I know the odds are stacked against it, but it still looks like something i’ll want to see.

    Ash vs Evil Dead

If you had the opportunity of seeing Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 or Army of Darkness, then i can imagine you’re probably really excited about this movie.

This trailer is all shades of sick. ‘Nuff said.

    Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Ordinarily, a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer should be higher up this list (probably even number 1), but this new trailer offers very little footage, in fact, it offers very little we haven’t already seen.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2

If there’s one thing Hollywood is good at, it’s getting fans in the mood for a film’s release. Sure, i was planning on seeing Mockingjay- Part 2 when it drops later this year, but this teaser just shot my appetite for the film through the roof.
